Will You Nurture a Troubled Artist?
The end of year is approaching! I hope you are preparing for a great holiday! This year, my biggest achievement was my first solo-exhibition at Vox Populi that hosted the second episode of “A Tragic Bambi,” “Traumatic Encounter Forever!” The piece took me nearly a year since its conception. It was also one of my greatest performance experiences so far.
For the next year, I am planning the following projects.
1. One more presentation of “Traumatic Encounter Forever!” in the New York area
2. Developing the third episode (performance with sculptural/video installation,) “Poultry Paradise and it Discontents”
3. A short video “Join the Club,” which appears as a deranged pornography that exhibits only polymorphous sexualities and the abject, in guise of recruitment for a fake performance trope.
4. Video production of some of the scene from the earlier episodes, “Mother’s Tears” and “Traumatic Encounter Forever!” in order to incorporate them into a larger video project.
To realize my plan for the next year, I will need a considerable amount of funding, not only for material cost, but also for adequate stipends to participating performers and photographers/videographers. My project “A Tragic Bambi” is fiscally sponsored by New York Foundation for the Arts. It means that you can make a fully tax deductive donation to my project. If you properly file your tax return, it will not cost you to make a donation to my project. Your donation will be well spent and come back to you as a hilarious experience!
